Matthew Blake has spent 15 years in construction and carpentry, and as a student of design. He lives in the Flathead Valley.

The work is design-forward remodeling and new construction for lake and mountain houses — and for any room that should feel considered. Trends and timeless approaches are both on the table. Materials are chosen from a deep working knowledge of what lasts and what belongs.

Finish has to serve the house, not sit on top of it. A room should feel inevitable when it is done, and the space beyond it should feel intended too.

Projects run from a powder room or a deck to a full makeover. Higher-end work is the center of gravity; smaller, precise jobs are welcome. Blake Construction manages the job and draws on a long network of trades so the house stays coherent from layout through final grade.
